    147 Pidgin's file transfer support on XMPP is not yet finished and does not comply with the XMPP specification.

    149 This means that Pidgin doesn't support file transfers to clients other than Pidgin and that file transfers do not work if there is a NAT in between.
     147There are a number of possible reasons for this.
     148 * If the user you're trying to send to is using the Google Talk client, it isn't possible as that client doesn't use the standard XMPP file transfers.
     149 * The XMPP server you're using may not support a file transfer proxy and your network setup doesn't allow direct incoming connections.
     150   In this case, you may be able to specify an alternative file transfer proxy in the "Advanced" settings of your XMPP account.
